Geographical coverage:

The Project Management Agency – part of the German Aerospace Center (PT-DLR) – is the largest funding agency working for the German Ministry for Education and Science (BMBF) and other governmental bodies. It provides direct services to the Ministry and administers, also for the BMBF, the support for German Universities, public research institutions and industries. PT-DLR has been granted ISO 9001:2000 certificate.

The International Bureau (IB) at PT-DLR supports bilateral cooperation programmes in S&T with about 50 countries around the world in order to facilitate the preparation and implementation of international cooperation of German institutions.

In addition, IB coordinates a number of accompanying measures to set up a framework for the stimulation of future cooperation in close cooperation with BMBF. The department “Environment, Culture and Sustainability” administers research funding programs on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in different topic areas in the field of sustainable and environmental research.
