The project "Sustainable Product Innovation in Vietnam, Combodia and Laos" strengthens the innovative power of industry to improve environmental and societal quality of products made in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The project aims to reach out to at least 500 companies in the most relevant sectors such as food processing and food packaging, textiles, footwear, handicraft and furniture. Activities include among others capacity building on project branding and marketing skill trainings for SMEs. Moreover, the project will promote sustainable public policy and procurement with 30 government organizations. The project wants contribute to improved innovative power of industry and improved environmental and societal quality of products made in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. This will be realised by implementing Sustainable Product Innovation (SPI) on a significant scale in these three countries. The outcomes of the action will contribute to a decrease of environmental impact and improve social sustainability aspects connected to products over the whole lifecycle.

The specific objective of the action is that by the end of the action, Sustainable Product Innovation will be a proven approach in at least 500 companies in 5 of the most relevant industrial sectors in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia (food processing including packaging, textiles, footwear, handicraft and furniture)
