In our call for research and implementation, we asked intersted research projects to hand in proposals to access support for European researchers to travel to ASEAN countries (or vice-versa) and/or to travel within Europe or ASEAN-countries to advance joint research and development projects with good bi-regional cooperation and/or implementation prospects. We have received a high number of proposals, demonstrating the relevance of this kind of support. After the evaluation of the proposals, we have selected nine of them for funding. These are:

  • Projects 1-2: experts mobility to specific events
  • Project 3: Waste prevention as strategic approach for resource efficiency – mutual learnings from experiences in Vietnam and Germany
  • Project 4: FASUDIR
  • Project 5: POCACITO and the ASEAN project on Long-term Action Planning for Low Emission Development Collaboration project
  • Project 6: Expand the SWAMP network on peatland and wetland research to Europe
  • Project 7: Boosting the Value of Weather Radar Technology for Flood Early Warning in the Philippines
  • Project 8: Policy action in the ASEAN on resource efficiency and raw material management through transfer of knowledge and experiences from the European Union
  • Project 9: Research collaboration to inform national design of Effective, Efficient and Equitable benefit sharing mechanisms in the forest sector

Please find attached the abstracts of the proposals.
