EU-SEA Alumni Network Started

The SEA-EU-NET project has started an alumni network for researchers from Southeast Asia and Europe interested in bi-regional co-operation.

With a first network meeting in July 2014 in Vietnam, the EU-SEA Alumni Network supported by the National Agency for Science & Technology Information of Vietnam, the EU FP7 project SEA-EU-NET 2, and EURAXESS links ASEAN took up its work in connecting scientists, researchers, and innovators from Europe and Southeast Asia interested in bi-regional and bi-lateral co-operation. Meeting participants agreed to the formation of a network alliance comprising alumni association representatives, SEA-EU-NET, and EURAXESS Links ASEAN.  Through this network information on European funding and fellowships will be shared with the tens of thousands of European alumni living and working in Southeast Asia. The alumni associations will also play a key role in forming research partnerships through scientific workshops and brokerage events.

For further information and for association with the network please visit the SEA-EU-NET website and contact the people responsible for the EU-SEA Alumni Network.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological
development and demonstration under grant agreement no 603218.
