Project

INHAND — Integrated Water Management Concept for Craft Villages in Vietnam

The project Integrated Water Management Concept for Craft Villages in Vietnam (INHAND) focuses on a food processing craft village in Vietnam - main product is wine from cassava and rice. Wastewater from this production and households is currently drained untreated into the surrounding rice fields. The objective of INHAND is to develop a wastewater management system and a pilot plant for the village. The pilot plant will be designed as a three step pilot plant: aerobic treatment of the wastewater, anaerobic treatment of the waste streams and a digester drying facility.

R4R — Chemical Regions for Resource Efficiency

R4R will achieve a major step improvement in regional and transnational cooperation among the participating regions and R4R will develop practices, tools and examples which shall be easily disseminated to and adopted by multiple European regions to improve regional and cross-regional collaboration in general, and on resource efficiency in the process industry in particular.

WISDOM — Water Information System for the Mekong

It is the goal of WISDOM to jointly (Vietnamese and German partners) design and implement an Information System for the Mekong Delta, containing information from the fields of hydrology, sociology, information technology and earth observation. The integration of such data will enable the end-user of the system to perform analyses on very specific questions; and thus will supply the end-user with a tool supporting regional planning activities.
