On 23 January 2014, SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN has brought together representatives from around 15 environment research projects in a first clustering meeting to facilitate their networking and coordination. The projects have been selected among a range of multilateral and bilateral ASEAN-EU research consortia in climate action, raw materials and resource efficiency.

With this step, SUSTAIN moves from its phase of initial project identification to its core tasks of:

  • facilitating networking between research projects
  • supporting projects in identifying synergies
  • taking up relevant project results and carry them to policy stakeholders.

The meeting took place back-to-back to the ASEAN-EU STI Days 2014 (21-23 January) in Bangkok.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological
development and demonstration under grant agreement no 603218.
