Clean Air Asia is pleased to announce an open Call for Abstracts for the “Integrated Conference of Better Air Quality (BAQ) 2014 and Intergovernmental 8th Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport (EST) Forum in Asia” to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 19-21 November 2014 and co-organized by the Ministry of Environment and Renewable Energy of Sri Lanka, Ministry of Transport of Sri Lanka, Ministry of the Environment of Japan, Clean Air Asia, and the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD).
Chances of implementation and uptake often depend on the right media exposure. This workshop will ensure that participants have the necessary media relation competence, resources and awareness of potential media players in Southeast Asia. This task will facilitate links to science media in Southeast Asia.
A two-week long combination of scientific conferences, policy meetings (ASEAN COST and Sub-Committees) and technology exhibitions where SUSTAIN will be present with a scientific workshop, cluster meetings, a media training and an internal consortium meeting.
The European Commission has defined Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials as a major societal challenge and opens Horizon 2020 funds to research projects working on these topics.
